- Never assume your students will get the humor found in poetry.
- Listen to your instincts. Don't have them read a poem that, while pretty and image-heavy, contains (almost) off-putting references.
- Just because you think it's funny doesn't mean they'll think it too.
Sigh. I've been making poor decisions this week.
